All the Right Strings

01 September 2021 Wednesday Prose Poem: reading for inspiration

Your touch brings this magnificent symphony to me – the me in this body trapped but relinquishing the plucking of my strings to you –

you have me inhaling this whole literary love – you have me pulled – stretching reaching – surrounding the heart of my heart

and the total synthesis – all the places we push into the epistolary arena

our hands ecstatically linked joined in the music plucking the delicate words passed between each of our mouths

– the verbal kiss my love – and your touch restrings the fluidity of discourse and discoveries

the songs are played all for us – the crystal notes and soft ones – the rise and fall of fingers brushing against all the fragmentary – and whole – lines

your breath through my body raising all the sensitive keys and my own breathing returns to you again and again – and the coda makes us play the same rhythms

with new emphasis

brushing into enchantment the stellar lights of genius shining and all the little black symbols pasted here – both curvilinear and straight.
