Dreaming at Dawn

Sometime Somnolent Suppositions

Dreaming at dawn,

partaking of the aura of the aurora,

I fill my lungs with pungent petrichor

while lying supine in the shade.

Visions of faeries invade my respite

with twilight

surrounding their curious circular dance.

The peculiar way their lithe shapes hiccup

leaves me with the belief

they suffer dreadfully from gas.
